How to Combine Functionality and Style in Home Design
Cute & Colourful DIY Die Cut Favours
I don’t know what it is but something about these favours remind me of Mexico, maybe it’s the colours, maybe it’s the paper picado feel to them but either way how awesome are they?! Imagine these cute and colourful things sitting proud on the plates of your guests! The good news is, even though they look tricky, making them couldn’t be easier! Here’s what you’ll need to create your own:
A Cricut Explore // Coloured Card // This template //
Step 1: Open up the Cricut design space and select the ‘upload image’ button on the left side, then click ‘basic upload’.
Step 2: From here select ‘browse’ and choose the template that we supplied above. You’ll then want to select where it says ‘simple image’.
Step 3: Next, clean up your image by clicking any white area you can see on the photo. This just let’s the Cricut know where it needs to cut.
Step 4: Continue to the next step then un tick where it says ‘preserve original image’
Step 5: Finally scale the die cut to the size you would like, load your mat and hit go! Once the Cricut has finished all you’ll need to do is carefully remove the die cut from the mat.
