Ok I know what you’re thinking? How could a female possibly know how to throw a kick ass stag party? Well the truth of the matter is I probably don’t but I am going to give it a good go anyway. And if any man is brave enough to try it my way please let me know how it goes because it may be the case that women do actually know better than men and I would love nothing more than a chance to prove it 😉
So I have obviously never been on a stag party but I have heard some crazy tales, usually involving lots of male nakedness, lots of alcohol and lots of strippers…well can I just stop you there, this is probably the beginning of where you are going wrong. Surely men are no longer interested in the world of strippers and strip clubs, with nudity and sex being so readily available on the internet does it really have the same effect?? My guess is NO! Long gone are the 50’s where naked women and strip clubs were rarities, this is now accessible everyday so don’t you think it’s high time to try something different?
Start by renting out a large house for a long weekend. If you wanted to travel further afield how about a town house in New York City, as a rule this would usually end up being quite costly but housetrip.com avoids this by cutting out the middleman. I know I said no strippers but I don’t intend on taking all the fun out of your stag weekend so of course be sure to stock the place out with drinks and food, you might even want to bring your video games for all you video game fanatics.
The next thing to consider is activities, obviously this depends on the area that you will be staying but some ideas would be kayaking, biking, paintballing, Rock Climbing, abseiling, Go, karting etc, the list is endless but you get what I mean.
How about throwing a BBQ? (Obviously this is weather dependant especially if you stay in the UK) We all know men are a dab hand at the old BBQ, so this is your chance to have one without the worry of your woman telling everyone she actually prepared the rest of the food and that you only cooked the meat. Yeah you know what I’m talking about?
The men in my life really have a big thing about cigars and Scotch when they all get together, I have no idea why? Maybe it makes you more of a man if you can stand the pungent smell and taste of them both but hey ho who am I to judge, they seem to enjoy it so I recommend you do it. You can accompany this with an evening of poker, hell, why not have another BBQ and indulge in some male nakedness as I’ve been told this is an actual way of bonding on a stag party? (Please let me know if this is true as I’m still not sure if I’ve been told this as a joke and gullible little me just so happens to believe it?)
Basically the whole idea of a stag party is to allow the groom to indulge in some friend time, before he has to be a responsible husband (ha, yeah right!). On a serious note it’s becoming ever more difficult with our busy work lives to get everyone together at one time, so use your stag party to your advantage and enjoy some downtime with your guys without the worry of coming home from your stag party with a little more than you went with, if you know what I mean 😉
