OFF THE RECORD: ROMANTIC GETAWAYS & REALLY GOOD PANCAKES!
FOLLOW US ON INSTAGRAM!
Happy Friday!! This week has been so much fun as we got to celebrate two of my most favourite holidays, Valentines day and Pancake day! That being said I am kind of glad we only celebrate pancake day once a year because is it me or does making pancakes take ages! Seriously I made 6 and it took me an hour, am I doing something wrong? Valentines day on the other hand should be celebrated every day, no question!
EMILY LOVES…
♥ Spending Valentines day with Mr T! It was completely unexpected as he was meant to be away that day, which made it all the more special. We didn’t actually do anything apart from chill as we had arranged to have a proper Valentines the following day, but it was awesome all the same and I technically got two Valentines day’s!
♥ Valentines day, take two was just as awesome! I cooked breakfast for us in the morning, then we took a long walk around the lakes. When we got home Mr T treated me to a delicious roast dinner, then we relaxed that evening and watched The Grand Budapest Hotel which was hilarious, best film I have watched in a long time, I can see why it was so popular at the BAFTAS.
♥ BROADCHURCH!!!! I am obsessed and can you believe that they left this weeks on such a cliffhanger!! I am not going to sleep for a week!
♥ Flippin Pancakes with momma bear! Usually my mum is in charge of pancakes but this year she passed her frying pan and spatula over to me. Before I knew it, I was tossing like a pro and making a pretty mean pancake!
♥ Lazy nights on the sofa catching up with old friends and eating Indian food.
♥ Having my favourite vegetarian Spaghetti Bolognese cooked for me by my bestie! You can probably tell, food has been at the top of my love list this week! Ha!
JESS LOVES…
♥ Heading to Glastonbury for the day on Valentines day, I didn’t realise how many beautiful colourful buildings there were and how awesome everything is!! We climbed up the Tor too so we could get a good view of everywhere!
♥ Eating fish and chips. Yes, it’s simple, but the simple things in life make me happy, and fish and chips are one of them!
♥ Heading to IKEA, man oh man do I love that place! I always want to buy absolutely everything though and this time was no exception!
♥ Flipping pancakes! This year we tried some cookie spread teamed with fresh raspberries, it was delicious! The classic lemon and sugar are still my absolute fave though and we may or may not have had them yesterday for breakfast too!
♥ Receiving this months ABM Happy Mail!! It was definitely my favourite yet! You can see me opening the box of delights here!
♥ And last but certainly not least, James cooking me a delicious three course meal for Valentines day! We had antipasti to start with some amazing meats, bread and olives, followed by lobster and squid ink tagliatelle (which was THE BOMB) and for pudding he served up some yummy white chocolate and cherry mousse! I was well and truly spoilt!
