AN UP THEMED ENGAGEMENT LOVE STORY
If you’re a fan of Up! as much as I am then you are going to go crazy for today’s engagement shoot! Ely and Paul thought of every little detail for their photographs from the adventure book, the grape soda pin and even matching outfits to the film! It’s all topped off with a giant bunch of balloons of course and a perfect picnic, the only thing missing is Kevin! Who’s got the chocolate?
ABOUT THE SHOOT…
“Ely and Paul were inspired to style their engagement session after the that Ely shared the same name as the main character’s wife and the fact that it is one of their favorite films. We made sure to recreate some of the sweet picnic shots from the film and they did an amazing job bringing a long so many details from the film like the bottle cap pin, picnic basket, matching outfits and of course, colorful balloons 🙂 They wanted to spell out “Forever and Ever Babe” in Scrabble tiles as say that to each other often in reference a sweet moment from the movie “Click.” In fact, they started saying this to each other so much, that it is engraved inside Ely’s engagement ring! To add to the whimsical feel of our session, I also brought along some polaroids to take some fun shots throughout our session. We had such a great time with these two and we are so thrilled to be shooting their wedding in May on their 10th anniversary!”
HOW TO APPLY THIS TO YOUR OWN ENGAGEMENT SHOOT…
Think about the elements of Up which are the most famous and use them to tie your shoot together, balloons are the obvious must have item here so grab a big bunch! The picnic scene in Up is super cute so even getting yourself a blanket and laying it on grass will work for a shoot like this! If you want to really go big on the details here then you can even create a bottle cap pin and an adventure scrapbook for your shoot…bonus points if you manage to find a ‘Kevin’ bird!
