MAKE THESE PASTEL MARBLED EASTER EGGS
Marbling is one of the prettiest craft techniques EVER, I just love how you never know the patterns you’re going to create or how they’ll turn out! If you’ve never tried marbling before then grab yourself some eggs and let’s get creating some beautiful Easter masterpieces!! (Ok masterpiece is a strong word but let’s just go with it…)
YOU WILL NEED:
Hard boiled eggs // White spray paint // Nail varnish // A disposable container // A stirrer // Plastic gloves //
STEP 1:
Spray paint your eggs in the colour of your choice, I went for white because I wanted the colours to pop but I think these would look super cute in gold, bronze or silver too!
STEP 2:
Allow these to dry, I created a little drying station by putting tooth picks into foam and suspending the eggs on them so that the paint didn’t smudge.
STEP 3:
Fill your container with room temperature – cold water and add a little bit of the nail varnish.
STEP 4:
Working quickly, (and wearing your gloves) dip your egg under the water and swirl it around the container. Pull it out of the water once you are happy with the pattern and place back on the drying rack.
STEP 5:
Repeat with your other colours until you have a beautiful selection of pastel marbled eggs!
Happy Easter guys! If you make these marbled eggs be sure to share your snaps with us on Instagram by using the hashtag #BESPOKEBRIDEDIY , we love to see your creations! xx
