DIY FLORAL COASTERS FOR YOUR TABLE DECOR!
I mentioned this before in our free printable placemats post but some parts of your table decor can be completely overlooked or even missed out and i’m not saying that you need to have coasters across all of the tables, BUT if you did want to go ‘more is more’ then I think these floral coasters would be an awesome part of your decor! You could even double them up as favours if you wanted to! WIN WIN!
YOU WILL NEED:
Balsa wood // Pastel pink spray paint (we used Rustoleum) // Cricut Explore // Cricut Vinyl in a section of bright colours and gold//
STEP 1:
Using your Cricut machine cut out several circles in the balsa wood.
STEP 2:
Spray paint the balsa wood in a pretty pastel pink shade and allow to dry.
STEP 3:
This is where you can get creative! Login to the design space and have a scroll through the thousands of images they have available to choose from, I was typing in key words like ‘flower’, ‘fern’ and ‘leaves’ to find the designs that I liked! You can obviously choose whichever ones you want but if you’d like to use the exact floral designs as me then I used #M900BE for the pink peonies, #MD6F435 for the gold leaf, #M39c39 for the teal leaves, #M461A5 for the purple and yellow tulips, #MD7267B for the blue and purple roses and finally #M5259C0 for the small yellow flowers.
STEP 4:
Once you’ve got all of your designs cut out it’s time to stick them onto the coasters! There isn’t really any technique or pattern to this, just position the flowers and leaves to the coasters, layering some on top of others until you’re happy with the design.
And that’s all there is to it! Super pretty right!? Don’t forget to check out the rest of our DIYs here! xxx
