60’S STYLE ELOPEMENT INSPIRED BY THAT OLD TV SHOW ‘LOVE AMERICAN STYLE’
I love the influence of 60’s America – the fashion, the music, the style, an era of peace, love and creativity. The idea for today’s 60’s inspired shoot was an old American TV show, ‘Love American Style’. It’s for the bride who is bursting with love and hope and in this time of unsettlement and unease and I couldn’t think of a better time to share it with you.
“I like to make special occasions extraordinary. The ones you love will remember the sentiments and loving details you add to what would otherwise be just a traditional occasion. The talented team of collaborating vendors all helped to bring the vision to life in the delightful garden at the lovely venue named New Dawn.” Begins Tracey-Ann, the photographer behind the shoot.
“Our ‘bride’ wore a homemade wedding dress borrowed from a real life bride who made it herself from a Vogue pattern and wore it on her wedding day back in the 60’s. Her grandmother attached all of the buttons down the back and created the button loops by hand the night before her courthouse wedding in Milwaukee.” She continued.
“Our inspiration design sets are teeming with mid century modern goodness even Mary Tyler Moore would swoon for. There is also a classic pop art touch with all those diamond details. Can you see them? The stationary, cake, pillows, DIY backdrop and flower pots. The stationary joyfully announces that they have legally tied the knot and that “love made us do it”. There is also an invitation to a party where family and friends can join them in their celebration. The lattice work design on the cake echoes the diamond theme and is perfectly coordinated with the stationary. And who can resist those tie-dyed macaroons.” Described Tracy-Ann.
“Their outdoor dinner table was lowered so they can enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere of drink and merriment. The dreamy moss runner and floral designs add so much color and beauty. Daisies, the quintessential flower of the 60’s, adorned the centerpieces as well as the bride’s bouquet.”
“The vintage radiant orchid colored dress she wears for their “honeymoon picnic” makes us nostalgic for the style and spirit of the 60’s era. Our handsome groom sings a love song for their special day and then they sit and listen to music played on the record player, the perfect element for the music-loving couple.” She added.
