TAKE YOUR OBSESSION WITH ALL THINGS SWEET ONE STEP FURTHER WITH THIS DIY CANDY WREATH
Seriously guys, I feel like all I talk to you about lately is sweeties! I swear I don’t really have that much of sweet tooth, but there is something about this time of year that sends me on a sugar high. I shared my latest fave chocolaty treat with you last week but today’s DIY is a little different, as although we’re using candy, you can’t technically eat the treats – they will be glued firmly down. However there’s nothing stopping you pinching one or two sweeties for your self in the process. Our method went a little something like this… “one for me, one for the wreath, one for me, one for the wreath”. Ha Ha! (How on earth did we have enough candy to cover an entire wreath with that mindset) 🙂
Like our Sparkly Sequin Wreath, this tutorial is so simple and is a fun and modern twist on a traditional Christmas wreath. It does feel a little like torture though, drooling over all those sweeties and not being able to eat a single one 🙂
You Will Need
A foam wreath (Our was 635mm across with a 190mm hole in the middle) | Pink Spray Paint (ours was from Rustoleum) | A selection of colorful candy in all different shapes and sizes | Glue Gun |
Step 1
Spray paint your wreath using the pink spray paint and leave to dry.
Step 2
Once the paint is completely dry, take your glue gun and a selection of sweets and start sticking them to the wreath. Make sure you have candies in all different sizes to ensure you fill in most of the gaps. Continue doing this until the wreath is completely covered, then leave to dry until the sweets are firmly secured.
