They are a wonderful way for guests to share the love at your wedding and are great keepsake for you to look back on, however so many guest books will be left in a cupboard overlooked for years after, so why not make sure you create a guest book that you want on show. Narrative. Tell your story by making your day personal right from stationary down to the food that you eat. Maybe your first date was to the cinema so use cinema style popcorn on a sweet stand, etc there is so much you can do!
Old, as in ‘Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue’. Not ones for completely tradition but there is nothing that excites us more than making something traditional more unique so we created 12 ways to wear something blue on your wedding day.
Photography. Our best advice is to have fun with it and don’t do anything you are not comfortable with. Some people have fun using props, others would prefer something natural. Do what works best for you both!
Quirky! As long as your comfortable doing it that is. We are huge advocates for adding quirkiness to your day and this doesn’t have to mean doing something crazy just something a little different!
Real Weddings. The real weddings that we feature and those on other great wedding blogs are a great source for inspiration. That doesn’t mean copying everything it just means taking a look at what others did to personalise there day and then thinking of how you could do the same. Real weddings are also great for checking out suppliers, there is nothing that demonstrates what they do better than examples of their work. Not surprisingly more and more couples are becoming more inventive in regards to venues and locations, wanting somewhere that signifies their relationship or personalities.
Veil. Another great finishing touch to any brides outfit is her veil. We have become great friends with Lucy Hayes of Lucy Hayes Bridal Veils this year and she has been a great source of knowledge when it comes to the history of the bridal veil. We also had fun compiling our own list of our 13 favourite alternative and quirky bridal veils.
Wedding Advice. And there is alot of it! We wouldn’t even know where to start on this subject as there is so much. To an extent our blog and many other wedding blogs cover everything but we have even more on our pinterest board here. We always make a massive point of asking brides and grooms to email us if they need any help or advice and we will do everything to make sure we get you the information you need.
X-rated! Some brides might fancy giving their groom a steamy photography of them looking hot hot in their wedding underwear as pre-wedding gift. Yum Yum! Ok so there is noting more annoying than having food on your wedding day that you dont even like just because its the easy option when it comes to your guests! Pick food that you and your partner like, if you both like bangers and mash – then eat bangers and mash! We have met so many amazing caterers this year that have unique ideas, our favourite one has to be the concept of street food something that has recently taken cities by storm is now making its way into the wedding industry. Think pop up restaurant where food is served fresh and made whilst you wait. Take a look at our pinterest boards for some food ideas or perfect puds, oh and don’t forget the drinks!
