A LAID BACK OUTDOOR WEDDING ON THE RIVER
Bespoke Bride might be known for its bright colours and DIY’s but when it comes to weddings, we are all about the creativity and making your wedding unique. Today’s laid back outdoor wedding overlooks the Susquehanna River, features lots of handmade touches, donuts, S’mores, food trucks and a very grand, bridal party entrance. Beautiful bride, Dylan tells us more…
“Our wedding took place on my parents’ property overlooking the Susquehanna River.” She began.
“We spent a lot of time together over the summers throughout high school and college, so it was a special, meaningful and not forgetting to mention absolutely beautiful place to get married.”
“We wanted a relaxed vibe for our outdoors wedding, so inspired by Pinterest and other various wedding planning books, my Mom set about painting colorful signs to direct our guests ts to different locations at the wedding, as well as DIY’ing our centerpieces.” Added Dylan.
“We planned the wedding in 14 months. My mom put together general schedule of day’s events, based on suggested timelines found online and our DOC helped to keep this on track and manage last minute details. On the day I did have a brief scare that it might rain, but the clouds held off and the temperature was mild for a PA May day!”
“Overall, we had an amazing day! The only thing that comes to mind that we would have done differently would have been to not camp out at the reception site. Fun idea in theory, but logistically, we ended up not getting much sleep due to fun-loving guests keeping the party going, cold night temperatures, and being camped on a slight (but very noticeable) hill.” She laughed.
“Finally, I would advice anyone who is soon to be married to enjoy every moment of the day, and take time to soak it in together- it goes by super fast!”
