BESPOKE BRIDE’S BEST OF 2017
Eeek! 2017 is nearly over and we are so sad to be waving it goodbye!! I can officially say this year has been one of the best years for me personally, with the birth of my baby nephew Corey James, who is now the little light of my life! And, I know I speak for both myself and Jess when I say we could never have predicted just how successful the launch of our very own shop was going to be this year! It’s been phenomenal and we can’t thank you guys enough for your support!
We’re not quite sure what 2018 has in store for us yet, but before we start making any more plans let’s take a look back at 2017 and appreciate all the wonderful things it threw our way!
After three long years, we decided it was about time we gave Bespoke Bride a much needed update! Designing a whole new website didn’t come with it’s stresses believe me, but we couldn’t be happier with the new look and feel, it was just the refresh we’d needed! But the most exciting part for us, was getting to create a whole new range of products to really launch with a bang! We spent months dreaming up new photobooth props, Printables and vinyl stickers and to see them being used by you has just been the most amazing thing! My heart actually does little flutters of excitement when I think about it! I’m so proud and excited for the future of our little store!
Aside from the shop we’ve had so much fun working on some pretty great posts for the blog this year too. One of my favorites has to be this free printable ‘What’s in You’re Purse?’ tropical bridal shower game that Jess designed.
And the DIY I am probably most proud of this year is this easy balloon garland. In fact Jess used the same tutorial to create the balloon feature at her Murder Mystery Party for Halloween.
Speaking of… this year’s Halloween DIY’s were some of our favourites yet! These flower skull ice cubes proved to be a spook-tacular hit…
And our new guest blogger A Girl and Her Glitter, was crowned pumpkin queen with her rainbow unicorn pumpkin.
I would have to say that one of my favourite overall posts on the blog this year has been the styled shoots that we’ve been fortunate enough to feature! If anybody thought rainbows and unicorns had had their time last year, these pretty pastel wedding ideas proved the trend is here to stay!
Oh, and it seems pastels have also had come back too. This slumber party made all our dreams come true!
I also fell in love with soooooo many of our weddings this year. As predicted, this colourful geometric wedding is still my favourite!
With the Coachella inspired wedding of Carissa and Cory being a close second!
This year, was also the year one of our besties got married and we couldn’t wait to share her mermaid inspired seaside wedding!
The highlight of 2017 had to be the travel! I shared my 7 favorite things to do Cape verde where I was lucky enough to celebrate my 30th birthday.
…Whilst Jess shared her guide to Phuket (as well as sharing her time at the Elephant Sanctuary and why you shouldn’t ride elephants!) …
Jess also shared her favourite places to eat and see in Zadar & Split, Croatia!!
And we got to travel to Utah together for the Cricut Mountain Make-A-thon, which was so exciting as we hadn’t been on vacation together in agggeees! Salt Lake will forever be one of my favourite cities and I haven’t stopped thinking about living there since we got back! Who knows, if the Up House ever went up for sale, I might just be the first in line! A girl can dream, right?
Well, I think that is about it for 2017, I am seriously so sad to be leaving it behind but I know whatever 2018 has in store for BB it’s going to be just as amazing!
Happy New Year Guys!!!
