DIY SPARKLY STAR TULLE SKIRT
I can’t deny it, I love me a tulle skirt! One quick search on Pinterest for them and my feed is filled with gorgeous little tulle numbers in tons of different colorus and styles! I love seeing them dressed down with a casual T-shirt and flats or really styled up with heels and blouses! Today’s DIY skirt is all about making a tulle skirt just that little bit more Christmassy and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! Perfect for all of the upcoming Christmas parties right?!
YOU WILL NEED:
A tulle skirt (We got this pastel one from Boohoo) // Silver Glitter Iron on material // A Cricut maker // A Cricut easy press or iron //
STEP 1:
Once you’re in the Cricut Design Space, choose a star image from their image library and copy and paste it until you end up with a lot of stars! I created these stars in two sizes, 2.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches wide. You’ll need around 60 stars to cover the entire front of the skirt or around 120 stars to cover the front and back.
STEP 2:
Set your machine to ‘iron on’ and let it cut out all of your stars for you!
STEP 3:
Now it’s time to start ironing! Or if you have a Cricut easy press then you can use that to make the whole process much easier! Otherwise, warm up your iron and start adding the stars to your skirt, I decided to put all of the larger stars at the top of the skirt and have the smaller ones more towards the bottom of it.
STEP 4:
Keep going until all of your stars are adhered and then it’s time to show off your new glittery skirt!
I love how cute the blush pink and silver iron on looks but you could totally switch up the colours! An ice blue would look amazing too or even black tulle with gold stars on! Oooh the possibilities are endless! xx
Oh my gosh, this is such a gorgeous project – and yet another reason why I NEED to get my hands on a Cricut Maker! Wonder if Santa will be extra generous this year ?
