5 FUN AND EASY FAVOURS THAT WON’T COST A FORTUNE
Favours are not a necessity when it comes to weddings but I always think it’s a cute and nice touch, I don’t know about you but when I arrive at a wedding reception and there’s a favour sitting on the table waiting for me I’m always like yay! The good news is, favours don’t have to cost a fortune and they also don’t have to take days and days on end to make (because honestly, who has time right?) So today we’ve teamed up with Self Packaging to share 5 fun and easy favours and 5 cute packages to bundle them up in too!
1. PHOTOGRAPHS
If you’re having a small and intimate wedding, I love the idea of getting some polaroid photos printed of yourself with the guests that you use as their wedding favours, it’s such a personal gift and something they can keep on their fridge or in a frame a long time after the wedding is over. If you like those yellow favour boxes you can grab them here!
2. CONFETTI
Again, this is a pretty obvious one but who doesn’t love confetti?! (If your venue allows it of course) I personally would have endless fun trying to capture ‘confetti shots’ at the table, and don’t even get me started on boomerangs!
3. SWEETS & CHOCOLATE
This is the obvious choice I know but it’s a great one because you can buy the sweets and chocolate in bulk (or even make them at home yourself, see our sweets and treats DIYS here!) And guests are always gonna be happy with a sugary snack right?! I always end up putting them in my bag and then snacking on them the next day when i’m hungover on the sofa ha! Besides, how adorable are these mini boxes with their cute messages on?!
4. SCRATCH CARDS
You can buy scratch cards for as little as £1 and I think they are such a fun way to surprise your guests! (We filled our Christmas crackers with them last year and it was hit!) I’ve seen people buy lottery tickets too as favours but I love the idea of scratch cards more because you’ll know if there’s been an instant win or not! You can include a little penny in the box too for them to scratch away with!
5. FORTUNES
One quick search on Pinterest for ‘printable fortunes’ returned a bunch of cute slogans that you can easily print and cut at home and pop inside favour boxes! This would make your favours pretty much free! You could even hand write the fortunes if you prefer a more handmade touch! We loved these favour boxes for the fortunes, especially since there’s enough room to pop some chocolates or confetti inside too!
Of course there are tons more ideas that you can fill cute favour boxes with from popcorn to macarons, candles to soap, alcohol to stationery, the list goes on!
