And while yes, it’s all very lovely, the toaster, blender, saucepans, cutlery and vases can seem a little wasteful if you’ve been living together for a while and already have them in your home. Being a minimalist, it’s important to me that we only receive items that we actually need and I’m happy to say creating our wedding gift list with Amazon, has made this totally achievable, meaning less clutter and less waste.
Amazon’s wedding gift list truly is one of the most easy to use gift lists that I’ve come across since planning my own wedding. Setting up is simple just login to your amazon account, fill in the form and create a wedding list. For instance, we’ve recently bought our own house and not surprisingly the moving experience has made our fur babies a little anxious. Naturally I don’t like leaving them alone for long periods which wouldn’t usually be a problem as I work from home however when we go on our honeymoon, our cat sitter still has to work shifts, so the cats will have to be left alone at times.
Because of this I couldn’t wait to register for an indoor camera, so that even on the other side of the world I could still check in on my fur babies whilst the cat sitter was at work. I can even talk to them if I want to using the app on my phone. Knowing that I can still make sure they’re OK when we’re away is such a weight off my mind.
When registering for gifts it’s important to think about what makes you unique as a couple, don’t just register for things you think you should have, register for the things you know want. Items that make you unique as a couple. As you can probably tell, our cats are a huge part of our lives which is why we’ve also personalised our wedding list to also include items for them. The new house is very much their’s too and we not only want to make it our home but theirs.
