EMILY’S HEN PARTY GOODIE BAGS
If you follow us on instagram then you’ll know that we recently got back from Emily’s hen party in Burano, Italy and we had THE BEST TIME! We have so much to say about this trip and we’re both so so excited to share all of the photos, memories and more with you! Today we’re kicking things off with the goodie bags that I made for the weekend. Hen party goodie bags can be really tricky because you don’t want to spend a TON of money but you also want to make sure that there is some exciting stuff packed into them right?! Throw an abroad hen in the mix and it gets even trickier…Will the bags fit in the girls cases? If I put liquids in they need to be under 100ml to get through airport security, what if the bags are too heavy? etc So with all of that in my mind, here’s the goodie bags I designed….
It goes without saying that I was obviously going to use our Cricut machines to create the designs on the front of the goodie bags! Since we were going to Italy I really wanted to tie in that theme so I opted for gold text on the front sharing some of the things that symbolised our trip to Italy, then I used the images in the Cricut design space to create the colourful lemons, fruit and leaves! Once I had done that it was just a case of scaling them to fit the bags and hitting go on the Cricut machine so it would cut all of the iron on out for me! 40 minutes of ironing later and I had 8 beautiful bags ready to be filled with goodies!
The main part of this goodie bag had to be our matching swimming costumes, I really wanted to give the girls something that we could all wear to the beach that would tie us together as a party and since this is Bespoke Bride and since we were in one of the most colourful places in the world I opted for a rainbow theme! ha! I wanted everyone to be in a different colour so I ordered a bunch of different swimming costumes in different colours from boohoo and then once we had decided who was wearing what I used the Cricut iron on again to iron the slogans ‘Ciao Bella’ onto the front of each of them. For Emily’s I ordered white of course and ironed wifey onto the front in gold!
After that it was time to fill the bags with little bits and bobs, I knew I wanted to put some limoncello in there to tie in the Italy theme so I ordered 8 small glass bottles online making sure they were under 100ml and then got a bottle of limoncello that I could fill them up with. I also designed some cute little labels in photoshop saying ‘Emily’s Hen Weekend’ that I simply printed out and glued to the front of the glass bottles to give them a little more personalisation!
And what would a hen party be without some Bespoke Bride glass stickers am I right?! I very almost went with our Spice Girls stickers since Emily loves them so much but then changed my mind, once again I was trying to keep the Italian theme going so I designed a new range of stickers that were all full of Italian phrases like ‘He stole a pizza her heart’, ‘Don’t be upsetti, eat some spaghetti’ ‘La dolce vita’ and many many more! I made sure everybody had a different quote on their cups too! If you want to see the rest of our sticker range for your own hen party goodie bags then click here!
Whenever I go on a hen party I love having a rough itinerary so I know what we’re doing each day so I thought it would be nice to include a schedule in the goodie bags too, just something the girls could refer back to if they needed to and also something that Emily could read through the first day we got there because she literally had no clue about anything we were doing! Luckily for me one of the girls on the trip is a graphic designer so Sarah from Sarah Kate Creative kindly designed the gorgeous itinerary’s for me in a fun and colourful theme!
Our to Italy was insanely early too so we had to be at the airpot at 4am, I knew all the girls would be sleepy on the flight so I thought I would include one of our Beyonce Eye Masks in each of the goodie bags too so everyone could get some shut eye! Finally I popped in some cute heart sunglasses in pink, red (and white for Emily) and finished off the bags with some handy Italian phrases (which included some words I knew would get a laugh!) And some colourful fun straws that we could use with our cups! Job done! Oh and I also popped in some pink nipple tassels in Emily’s for the Lols! xx
