Without a doubt Halloween weddings are one of my favourite wedding themes, despite our bright and colorful exterior I have a secret love for the dark and moody, paired with the spooktacular creativity that the season of Halloween brings. There are tons of ways to incorporate the festivities into your celebrations from black wedding dresses to pretty pastel pumpkins, there are so many ways to do a Halloween wedding. Today’s inspiration is hauntingly beautiful, alongside the gorgeous dresses and striking table decorations, Katie from Velvet Sage Photography discussed how she used black, gold and jewel tones to create this elegant editorial.
“The color scheme for tying this shoot together was black, gold, and jewel tones like Burgundy and deep greens to match the moody wall murals on display at Hotel Deco. They were screaming to be used in a Halloween styled shoot that was both dark and elegant.” Katie told us.
“Our couples tend to lean towards breaking the mold at every chance they get. They are alternative, and their motives are purely to enjoy a wedding catered to their tastes, while still being able to have an elegant experience, so the theme for this shoot directly reflected our couples desire for an intimate wedding tailored to their intrinsic aesthetic covered in a blanket of opulence,” she explained.
