ETHEREAL CELESTIAL WEDDING IDEAS FOR STAR CROSSED LOVERS
Today’s starry celestial inspiration is about to blow your mind. Created by a magical team of vendors this kismet of love is mystical, moody, other-wordly even. With grand tablescapes, gilded flowers, custom cosmic cocktails, stunning vista points, ethereal smoke bombs and of course a love that is written in the stars.
Helen, photographer at HFB Photographer described the inspiration for the shoot, “We are all stardust. Literally made up of cosmic particles, in a continuous state of regeneration connecting us all to the universe. Like stars our brightness is brief in the grand scheme of things. What a marvelous miracle to exist in such serendipitous and even more so to find true love across the galaxy. We wanted to celebrate the story of star crossed lovers brought together by the kismet chances of the universe as we all try to navigate this crazy thing called life and love. Our couple has chosen to celebrate their love and the blessing of how the universe divined their particular stardust to be connected. What are the chances of all the stardust out there for these to not only exist but irrefutably drawn to one another? It’s like it is written in the cards or something!”
“The location is The Barn at Willow Brook in Leesburg VA and it’s the best place to get married for a few different reasons,” she began.
“First, it’s the perfect balance of boho barn and clean, crisp, modern aesthetic. The barn space is so large and airy and there’s so many windows it’s impossible to not have fantastic lighting. Second, the property is easy to get to but when you’re there it feels remote like you’re idyllically on a farm estate nestled between peaceful mountains. The barn just glows in the evening light! To top it all off the owners and staff are simply a joy to work with!”
“Our shoot was a blend of mystic imagery and playful colors. There are visual celestial entities as well as methodologies as our couple attempts to make sense of it all. While we incorporated celestial items such as astrology and tarot, the overall mood is curiosity and endearment. It was entirely curated with a celestial touch embracing everything from the colors, galactic movement and otherworldly energy. The universe is dynamic as we are and it’s this endless energy where all things are possible that we wanted to embrace. When you’re in love, there seems to be no end to what “could be”. If that’s not worth celebrating in all it’s uniqueness I don’t know what is?” Helen added.
“The color palette was electric cosmic cotton candy. Originally inspired by the colors of a sunset and cosmic nebulas. The theme was lovers celebrating a love that was written in the stars so we had a heavy influence of astrology, celestial and even a dash of tarot. We wanted it to all feel very airy, whimsical and kismet.”
“When Ashley of The Stylist Abroad, originally had this idea, she immediately brought on board Jordan Von Lange Events.Together, they wanted to bring something to life that Northern Virginia had never seen before. Each vendor was hand-selected because we knew they were each incredibly talented but also creative and would be thoroughly excited to embrace this vision and run with it their own way. The mixologist created custom celestial cocktails, Stardust & La Luna.
“Our amazing florist spray painted and bedazzled the flowers to give them a glittery kissed look. Our hairstylist looped braided and twisted the brides hair and the cocktails were the couples favorite liquors with fun, on-theme names. We transformed a brand new, all wood barn with pops of purple and added black to give it a cool, modern touch!”
“Killa Cakes flawlessly balanced astronomy and astrology with illustrated moon phases against a galactic swirl whilst, Jordan found the most exquisite pieces to bring out the colors, tones and vibes of a cosmic kismet love story and Ashley wanted to create a soft whimsical look but with some edgy braids and a splash of sparkle – like the complex balance of the universe,” she explained.
“The beautiful thing about this styled shoot is that a couple could literally replicate every single thing or only bits and pieces. Nothing is too crazy and it’s all very realistically achievable but the shoot also balances a multitude of styles so if one aspects speaks to you more than others those could be integrated into your own look. Everything is very versatile and while blends together seamlessly they also are strong enough to stand independently. Our hope is to get creative engines firing to push the boundaries of how much fun and daring couples can be at this magical time of year. Hopefully they’re inspired to take some of these ideas and celebrate their own cosmic love story.”
