Bright Lights and Big Rides: How to Plan a Luna Park Wedding That’s Full of Colour and Fun!
CUTE & MEANINGFUL IDEAS FOR AN YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT
An icon of California, show stopping and majestic are just a few of the words I would use to describe the wonder that is Yosemite National Park. Jess and I were lucky enough to visit the location and do our own styled shoot their many moons ago and it is an experience that I will never forget.
This editorial was designed to inspire engaged couples to select elements of their wedding thoughtfully to bring greater meaning to their big day. It’s vibrant, sentimental, and the perfect location for California-loving couples!
“The shoot was set up at Tunnel View, which provides sweeping views of El Capitan, Half Dome, and Bridalveil Falls,” began photographer, Regina.
“It is nothing short of “majestic” and the other details of the shoot compliment it wonderfully.” She added.
“Capturing the energic Cali-vibe was the goal of Laurel and Vine when designing the vibrant, playful floral designs. And for all the sentimental brides out there who don’t want the magic of the wedding to end, we have a solution. Soil and Studio created a stunning floral preservation of the wedding bouquet for this shoot. So, no bride need say goodbye to her bouquet ever again.” Regina told us.
“The Funky, fun, unique hand dyed fabrics by Indigo Designeri were a groovy detail for any Californian with a little hippy in them. The indigo pocket square, napkins, and ribbon harken back to the world-changing hippy movement in the 60s which had its origins in Northern California.”
“The wicker centrepiece container and wicker napkin rings by One True Love are representative of the Miwok Indians who originally inhabited Yosemite. They excelled in intricate basket making and these small details on the sweetheart table acknowledge their noteworthy relationship with the sacred land.” She explained.
“Baked by Victoria Bakery, the blue cake was included in the shoot to match the majestic backdrop behind the couple. It was styled by Steele my Heart, Indigo Designeri, and Laurel and Vine to create depth of colour with the blue ribbon at the bottom, and stark contrast with the vibrancy of the flowers.”
“And with rattlers residing in the park, the snakeskin wedding bands by Lauren Wolf Jewellery represented respect for nature and our couples’ thirst for a Californian adventure.”
