BOTANICAL OUTDOOR WEDDING FOR A NATURE LOVING COUPLE
If your the outdoorsy type, then you’re going to love todays wedding. Artistic couple, Jordan and Selby wanted to create a day that reflected their love or the outdoors, their family and great food. Together they decided to have an outdoor bohemian style wedding surrounded by nature in Miami. These high school sweethearts have shared many travel journeys together. So, they decided to take their guests on a journey the night of their wedding, serving their favorite foods, cocktails and spirits from their travels.
“We are lovers of the outdoors and enjoy being in nature – we wanted our venue to reflect this as much as possible.” Selby began
“We originally wanted to elope in Joshua Tree National Park but, it was important to us to have our friends and family be part of the wedding and ultimately we decided to keep it local. However, we did have some concerns about the weather? Florida during spring time can be pretty iffy and the last thing I wanted was to have a tent, especially as the the whole reason we chose Miami Botanical Gardens was to be among nature.” Selby explained.
“I was going for Bohemian Desert Vibes so, we did this with the floral selection and incorporated a lot of cacti into the botanical garden. I also found a vendor in the Ukraine to make our macrame piece that become our altar. It was handmade and really added so much to the backdrop of our wedding,” she added.
“Right from the get go, I knew I wanted to have a wedding planner to help keep things organized and be the point person on the day of the wedding. I would recommend interviewing multiple wedding planners and find out their process and the way they work. Our venue recommended Meredith Falk from GLDN events.”
“Our original music vendor, bailed on us the week before the wedding, leaving us with limited to no options. Since the wedding was almost a year ago, we can now look back and joke about it,” she laughed.
People will give you lots of suggestions for different vendors and it can be overwhelming, so make a list and make sure you do your research.”

Very informative
Really great outdoor wedding and impressive setup. We love the colors, the flowers, the bohemian style and we love the fact that more and more couples want to get married in nature.
