The Top 11 Most Exorbitantly Expensive Luxury Fashion Items
Looking for a list of the awfully expensive Luxury Fashion Items on the planet? You’ve reached the right place. Wearing a Hermes Birkin, Louboutin pumps, and Ray-Ban sunglasses may appear to be quite elegant. However, even legendary fashion fortunes pale in contrast to the best in the world. Would you buy the most expensive hat, handbag, or underwear ever manufactured if you had all the money in the world? While you’ve been scrounging for toilet paper, here are some of the luxuries enjoyed by bankers, CEOs, celebrities, and politicians.
Men’s Dress Socks, Falke Vicuna Gentleman Socks, $1,000/pair
Who would imagine that socks could make it to the list of the most expensive Luxury Fashion Items? Well, socks that are too cheap are for the birds. They have irritable seams. They sag and become worn out.
Worst of all, they become caught inside your shoes and fall out. One approach to ensuring that your feet are always ensconced in comfort is to invest in high-quality socks. Falke manufactures high-priced socks to achieve this goal.
The luxury knitwear firm creates its luxury line of men’s legwear with “only the best yarns,” resulting in a collection of “premium quality and the highest craftsmanship.” The company’s most costly socks, which sell for around $1,000 a pair, are made of vicuna, one of the world’s most expensive textiles.
Vicuna is fine, delicate wool made from the Peruvian vicuna’s ultra-fine hair (and none of the coarse hairs). The fabric is described as follows on Falke’s website: “The ‘fiber of the gods’ is produced from the Purviance vicuna.” Even during the Inca era, its rich, dense wool was prized as the world’s rarest and most expensive, reserved for the greatest nobles and the church. ”
One vicuna (imagine a super-soft llama) yields around a pound of wool. Vicuna is too delicate to be colored, thus the one-of-a-kind socks are only available in llama brown.
It’s unrealistic to believe that the Falke Knit Socks could be mass-produced due to the luxury fabric. Each pair is handcrafted to fit the wearer’s foot and delivered in a beautiful wooden box. Vicuna is also said to have special warming effects. As a result, your posh toes will never be cold!
Chopard, De Rigo Vision Sunglasses ($408,400)
Sporting a high price tag Ray-Bans are a stylish way to safeguard your eyes. However, if you truly want to make a statement with your eyeglasses, you’ll need something a little more opulent. Chopard creates eyewear and accessories using “ethically sourced” real gold.
The design house collaborated with De Rigo, a high-end eyewear company, to create the ultimate sunglasses experience. The Chopard De Rigo Vision Sunglasses are crafted from 60 kilos of 24-karat gold with 51 four-carat river diamonds.
Each golden pair has almost 200 carats of diamonds in total. According to a brand spokeswoman, “the special eyewear appeals to an explicit group of fashionistas.” The sunglasses made their debut in Dubai, where the weather is usually sunny.
Stuart Hughes Diamond Edition, Men’s Suits, $723,000
An outfit that costs almost a million dollars? Yep. The Diamond Edition suit was created by Stuart Hughes, a luxury goods designer, and Richard Jewels, a tailor. They only constructed three of these lavish outfits, which is understandable given that each one took over 600 hours to embroider.
The Diamond Edition is made of wool, cashmere, and silk, as are many high-end suits. It does, however, have over 480 half-carat, single-cut diamonds, more than any other suit. The diamonds are carved onto the jacket’s outside lining, creating an unexpected “bedazzled” effect. The good news is that the costume is still available on Stuart Hughes’ website. Each purchase also includes a complimentary, all-expenses-paid trip to a luxury destination.

$2.7 million, Chapeau D’Amour hat
A hat on the list of most expensive Luxury Fashion Items? Yup. The $2.7 million Chapeau d’Amour, or “hat of love,” created by Louis Mariette in 2004, is the most expensive hat ever made. The headgear was inspired by the designer’s love of ivy and bluebells, and was made of braided platinum and adorned with magnificent diamonds and amethyst.
Mariette was invited by Harrods to design something special for their new premium millinery and wedding department. The American Express Platinum Card was one of the major advertisers.
The designer was ecstatic to be working on this project. The rare platinum fabric that would serve as the hat’s foundation had already been developed by the Platinum Guild. The elegant Lady Amherst pheasant feathers were next. Mariette manually embroidered the feathers onto the mesh-like cloth, which he described as “a total joy to work with” as he sat on the beach of a little island in the Indian Ocean.
The diamond supplier designed unique clasps that could secure the stones while still allowing them to be removed for insurance and security. The Chapeau d’Amour has traveled the world and is presently housed at Cliveden House, which is bordered by the bluebell woodland that inspired Mariette. It isn’t available for purchase.
And here are the most expensive hats on the planet:
Handbag: Mouawad 1001 Nights Diamond Purse, $3.8 million
The 1001 Nights Diamond Purse was first offered in 2010 by renowned jeweler Robert Mouawad of the House of Mouawad for $3.8 million. The exquisite pocketbook was rated the most valuable in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records a year later.
The heart-shaped masterpiece is made of 18-karat gold and features 4,517 diamonds weighing 381.92 carats (105 yellow, 56 pink, and 4,356 colorless). This beautiful bag was created by ten highly experienced artisans over the course of 8,800 man-hours.
One Thousand and One Nights, a Middle Eastern romantic fantasy, is supposed to have inspired the design. The unusual bejeweled purse has been auctioned in Hong Kong, Geneva, and London, yet it is still available for purchase. Experts estimate that the new value will be more than $5 million.

Victoria’s Secret underwear: $15 million, Red Hot Fantasy Bra and Panties
Yes, also underwear is on the list of the expensive Luxury Fashion Items. For decades, Victoria’s Secret has been producing multimillion-dollar bras. Heidi Klum wore the $12.5 million Heavenly Star Bra, which had 1,200 Sri Lankan pink sapphires and a 90-carat diamond, at the 2001 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Gisele Bundchen wore the hot Splendour Fantasy Bra that had 2,900 pave diamonds, 22 rubies, and a 101-carat diamond set in 18-karat white gold, four years later.
But, if you’re going to spend almost $10 million on a bra, wouldn’t it be wonderful to have a matching set of underwear as well? A set like this holds the Guinness World Record for the most costly lingerie ever made.
Bundchen walked Victoria’s Secret runway in 2000, wearing the Red Hot Fantasy Bra and Panties. In 28-karat white gold, 3,000 diamonds and 22 Thai rubies are encapsulated. The jewels have a total weight of roughly 1,300 carats (101 of which dangle from a single diamond). $15 million is the price tag.
Note that Victoria’s Secret’s Fantasy items are technical “underwear” and are not meant to be worn in the pool. Susan Rosen’s $27 million diamond bikini is a good example of high-end beachwear.
Molly Sims wore the barely-there “swimsuit” in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, which was designed by the designer. To sum it up: The bikini is one of the best examples of “fine art of extravagance,” because it has 150 carats of diamonds on platinum.
Shoes: Passion Diamond Shoes, $17 million
We couldn’t leave these shoes off a list of luxury fashion goods after they were recently included on our list of pricey everyday items. The world’s most costly sneakers were released in October 2018. Hundreds of flawless diamonds, including two pristine 15-carat stones, adorn the Passion Diamond Shoes.
The real-gold stilettos, designed by Jada Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, are on exhibit at Dubai’s Burj Al Arab hotel. Although the display is 36 EU in size, rich buyers can have any size manufactured to order. Note that one pair of Passion Diamond Shoes is the same as 23,448 pairs of Louboutin So Kate shoes, which cost around $700 each.
5-Carat Princess Diamond Ring, $77000
You can present your beloved with a high-end fashionable and splendid 5-carat princess cut diamond Ring. The princess cut is a modified brilliant cut with a square shape that emphasizes bold, modern lines and a lot of sparkle.
A stunning choice for rings are princess-cut diamonds in the 5 carat range. This diamond cut, which was first established in the 1980s, is one of the most popular choices for luxury rings.
$26 million, Chopard 201-Carat Watch
Chopard, a Swiss luxury watchmaker, is noted for its precision timekeeping and jewels. Chopard was founded by Louis Ulysse Chopard, a 24-year-old who desired to make perfect pocket watches and chronometers. He founded the company in 1860. Chopard was bought by Karl Scheufele III in the 1960s.
The estimated price of the 201-carat watch is $26 million. This is because the price of this one-of-a-kind watch is so high that it does not have a list price.
The stunning clock is set with 874 high-grade diamonds weighing 163 carats in blue, white, and pink. The watch’s core features three heart-shaped diamonds: a 15.37-carat pink diamond, a 12.79-carat blue diamond, and an 11.36-carat white diamond.
The wearer presses a specific mechanism to see the time. The heart-shaped diamonds open like flower petals to expose the watch’s face, which features three pear-shaped yellow diamonds.
Dress: Nightingale of Kuala Lumpur, $30 million
Malaysian fashion designer Faiyzali Abdulla is well-known. Anything Abdulla creates is a major deal. And when that creation is dubbed “Nightingale of Kuala Lumpur,” you know it’s a big thing. The $30 million gowns are made of the finest chiffon and silk taffeta and debuted at the STYLO Fashion Grand Prix KL in 2009.
This stunning off-the-shoulder evening gown is encrusted with 751 diamonds (1,100 carats). A 70-carat Mouawad teardrop on the gown’s bustier is the largest of the diamonds. According to reports, the burgundy artwork, which includes a 6-foot train, cost $23 million to produce. The outfit was inspired by the 14th-century Persian poem “The Rose and the Nightingale,” which was recited aloud as Abdulla unveiled it.

CTF: $71.2 million, Jewelry Pink Diamond Star Ring
Even modest diamond rings cost a lot of money. The Pink Star, on the other hand, is described as an “internally perfect pink 59.6-carat diamond.” In April 2017, the diamond was sold for $71.2 million at a Sotheby’s auction in Hong Kong. In 1999, De Beers retrieved the diamond from an African mine.
It weighed 132.5 carats in its natural condition. The diamond took two years to cut and polish to perfection. It is the largest flawless fancy vivid pink diamond ever graded by the Gemological Institute of America, measuring 2.69 cm by 2.06 cm (1.06 in. x 0.81 in). (GIA).
Chow Fai Fook Enterprises, a Hong Kong company with a chain of jewelry stores, purchased the Pink Star. The Pink Star holds the global record for being the most valuable gem ever sold. However, at $3.93 million per carat, the blue diamond remains the record holder for the most expensive price per carat. In 2016, Christie’s Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva sold the 14.62-carat Oppenheimer Blue diamond for $57.5 million.
