Beauty DIY: How To Create A Day Look From Your Perfect Base
You may remember just over a month ago we featured a make up tutorial on creating the perfect base for your wedding makeup with the lovely Lauren Mason! Well today, to follow on from that tutorial Lauren is going to take you step by step through turning that perfect base into a day look for your wedding!
Step 1: Apply your blusher. You can either apply the blush on the apples of your cheeks or you can apply it on and slightly under your cheekbones for a more defined look. On Jess, I used CHANEL Les Tissages De Chanel in Tweed Rose. Other blushers I love to use are Daniel Sandler Watercolour blush and Bobbi Brown Cream Blush.
Step 2: Fill in your brows. Your brows shape your face so it’s important they’re groomed and shaded if necessary. Jess has great brows which hardly needed touching up. I used CHANEL Les Sourcils De Chanel Pallet.
Step 3: For the eyes, I used CHANEL Les 4 Ombres in Mystic Eyes. MAC also do some great eyeshadows! I used the lightest colour all over the lid and on the brow bone. I then took the medium brown shade and applied this from the edge of the socket line half way in for a more defined look, and half way on the lid. Remember to always apply your colour with one brush and to blend with another clean brush. Blend blend blend! I then took the puter/silver shade and very lightly applied this in the centre of the lid and blended this in to make the eyes stand out. Once again, less is more! Normally I would use an eyeliner pencil next, however I wet the darkest shade in the pallet and applied this to the lashline for a softer effect.
Step 4: Apply your mascara, starting at the root and zig zagging out along the top lashes and then applying the mascara to the bottom lashes for more of a wide eyed look. I used CHANEL Sublime De Chanel in Noir to keep it looking natural.
Step 5: For the lips, line the lips and apply either gloss, lipstick or both depending on your preference. I applied MAC Crayon A Levres in Dervish which is a very natural shade. I then applied a small amount of lipstick and lipgloss to finish. I used CHANEL Aqualumiere in Ischia and CHANEL Levres Scintillantes in Wild Rose.
And you’re done! Simple yet effective right? It’s nice to have a fresh face on your wedding day and stay tuned because in a couple of weeks time Lauren will be showing you how to transform your day look into the perfect makeup for the evening! Lipstick at the ready ladies!
Much Bespoke Love
